Real Estate During The Holidays
Many people believe that real estate agents just kick back and relax during the holidays. Because they've been told that buyers aren't buying, sellers aren't selling, so it's worthless to try. Although the numbers do dip during this time of the year for the real estate market, real estate agents are still around to show you the best deals in the area.
When you work with buyers and sellers during the holidays, not only are you working in a market with reduced competition, but the clients are usually fairly motivated as well. According to Realtor.com, internet searches for real estate peak during the holiday months, and there are certain types of events you should look out for when house hunting.
Sellers host open house holiday party that have snacks, cookie decorating, crafts, and holiday music playing in the background. Or holiday happy hours nearby at the brokerage's office itself! Keep an eye out for these opportunities as it is a great way to connect and get more information about the neighborhood.
Whether it's a place to entertain the kids while they're out of school, or just an opportunity to feel the seasonal spirit, a holiday party is sure to get a lot community members out and about and you will have a chance to meet some potential neighbors! Just don't think because it is cold outside that sellers aren't wanting to sell their homes. Keep an open mind and be sure to contact SIG real estate to help you with your holiday house shopping!
