Springtime in D.C. is fast approaching, and it's time to mark your calendar with all the latest and greatest events in the city. As residents will attest, life in the nation's capital grants you access to numerous festivals, parades, and celebrations year round.
To help you narrow things down, we've compiled a list of 10 of the best spring events in Washington, D.C. this year.
Now celebrating its 27th year, the Environmental Film Festival in the Nation's Capital is the largest and longest-running environmental film festival in the nation. Beautifully combining education and entertainment, over 100 movies will be screened at various D.C. venues, accompanied by informative discussions and social events related to environmental education. Take part in the celebration of the spectacular trees gifted by the Mayor of Tokyo to D.C. citizens in 1912. This 4-week festival is jam-packed with free family events, with many focused on Japanese culture. Some of the most popular events include the Pink Tie Party (March 22), the Opening Ceremony (March 23), and Petalpalooza (April 6).
Enjoy Easter on the White House’s South Lawn this year, accompanied by delightful storytelling, live music, and a visit from the Easter Bunny. The White House Easter Egg Roll annual tradition has been hopping since 1878, and is always a thrill for the whole family.

Don’t miss this unique fair, parade, and music festival slotted for this spring in DC. Recognizing Washington DC’s brilliant music, culture, and arts - the 6th annual DC Funk Parade is sure to be a hit.
